The Table Napkin, the adventure

Did you know that in France, we throw away more than 10 billion disposable napkins per year? Yes, BILLIONS, with a capital B. And in a company of 1,000 employees, with a nice cafeteria, that's more than 220,000 napkins that end up in the trash every year. It makes you wonder if we're not creating more waste than meals, right?

Not to mention that the average annual budget spent on paper towels and napkins is around 220 euros per household.

So, we thought it would be a good idea to return to the good old habits of our grandparents. In their time, taking out a roll of paper for the family meal was simply unthinkable. A napkin was made to last, not to be thrown away after a single use!

So we decided to revive the fabric napkin by recycling the end of rolls, forgotten tablecloths, and fabric scraps from major linen companies. In short, we're giving these treasures a new lease of life to create stylish and eco-friendly napkins.

And it doesn't stop there! Our towels are lovingly sewn in integration workshops in Lille . And to ensure each towel has its own charm, we collaborate with artists and illustrators who add their own personal touch.

The result? Unique towels that are as much a pleasure to use as they are to look at.

Our dream is to see every employee in companies arrive with their own napkin at the canteen. But we're thinking even bigger! We'd also like to spread a little happiness in retirement homes , with napkins filled with kind little messages, make children smile in schools by making them want to bring their napkin as proudly as their water bottle, and even bring a little comfort to hospitals .

In short, we want to participate in a more responsible world, one napkin at a time, while putting a little love in each fold!

Emmanuelle Robin, Founder

I created the brand "La Serviette de Table" to reclaim the cloth napkin, just like our grandparents used to. Our mission is to reduce waste from single-use napkins.
